When the sun is out there is no need for a lot of heat, the recent temperatures warm the steel pot plenty. I picked some common Gorse Bush (Ulex europaeus) in late April and after the horrendous effort to take the flowers from the thorny stems I left
Can you guess what plant dyes fabric and yarn these colours? its found locally, usually  by the roadside. It's an ancient dye plant. Apparently it was used to dye the robes of the Vestal Virgins in Roman times. Nowadsys it is overlooked on scrubland.
